Robert Peter Difiore

Robert Peter Difiore, age 93, passed away peacefully at his residence at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi on May 2, 2026.

Born in Attleboro, MA on January 1,1933 to the late John Difiore and Louise Morrell Difiore. He was the husband of the late Virginia Anne Lambert Difiore for 61 years. He leaves 4 loving sons, Richard and his wife Deborah of West Virginia, Paul and his wife Denise of New Hampshire, David and his wife Beth of Massachusetts, and Peter and his wife Suzanne of Rhode Island; 8 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Robert attended North Attleboro Public Schools and was a graduate of Northeastern University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering. He then earned his Master of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering at Bryant College. Robert worked for several companies as an Industrial Engineer Manager until his retirement. He was an expert pistol shooter at Angle Tree Rod & Gun Club and the United States Navy Pistol Team. His other interests included woodworking and traveling with Virginia.

Robert served 3 years active duty during the Korean War and 17 years in the Navy Reserve, retiring as Chief Petty Officer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Armed Forces Retirement Home's Chapel, Gulfport, Mississippi. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA with full military honors on a date to be determined.
