Robert B. Dozier

Mr. Robert B. Dozier, age 74, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Shands UF in Jacksonville, FL following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Marvin Allen and Janet Britt Byrd Dozier, Sr. Mr. Dozier was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin Allen Dozier. He served his country in the United States Army obtaining the rank of First Sergeant and made Live Oak his home for the past seven years, after moving here from Staunton, VA. Mr. Dozier was a member of the Blythewood Masonic Lodge #395 in South Carolina and the American Legion Post #0364, and the Khedive Shriners. He enjoyed collecting watches, model trains and painting seashells but was best known for being a very giving person. Mr. Dozier is survived by two nephews: James Allen Dozier, Grady Lee Dozier; two very close friends: Sharon Gutshall, Celena Gutshall and his caretaker: Tonya Lee. Visitation will be on Monday, March 16 from 9am~10am at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A procession will then leave the funeral home for an 11am graveside service in Biloxi National Cemetery.
