Robert E. "Willie" Williams of Ocean Springs, MS went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday, November 24, 2014 in Ocean Springs.
Robert was born the son of Robert Theodore and Mary Louella Williams on December 7th, 1941 in Ohio.
He attended Big Ridge Baptist Church in D'Iberville, MS where he served as a deacon.
Robert was currently serving as the Jackson County District 5 Election Commissioner. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding as an engineer and served his country in the US Air Force.
His hobbies included NASCAR Racing, Square Dancing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Patricia Ann Whiddon.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Ann Hall Williams of 51 years; his son, Michael Williams (Janice); his daughter, Tina Switzer (Grover); his brother, Jimmy Williams (Faye); and his sister, Myrna Anderson (James). His joy came from his grandchildren, Leslie Treigle (Steven), Chaise Switzer (Brittany), Grey Williams and Sydney Williams; his precious great-granddaughter, Shaelynn Treigle; his "little buddy" Raleigh Luck; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 12:00 pm. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
