Robert McBride Lipscomb

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert McBride Lipscomb, age 81, a 31-year resident of Biloxi, Mississippi.

Bob served as Director of the Harrison County Library for 21 years. He was the son of Miriam and Andy Lipscomb of Brooklyn, New York. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna Balius Lipscomb; his children, Cynthia Flanagan and Michael Lipscomb; stepchildren Brandy Montiforte (Clay) and Bernard Senseney; grandchildren Brevyn Ray Flanagan, Ryland Delaney Flanagan, and Andy Joe Lipscomb, all of Florida; and Cody Noelle Senseney, Caleb Ethan Senseney, and Lakelynn Marie Senseney, all of Biloxi.

Bob lived life to the fullest. He cherished his family and friends, enjoyed traveling, and had a lifelong love of reading. He was passionate about history; ask him a question and he almost always knew the answer. He was a proud member of Elks Lodge 606 and a former Rotarian, valuing fellowship, service, and community. He loved a good drive and adored his dogs, Marty, Tucker, Lila, and Bentley, who brought him so much joy. His wit, intelligence, and humor touched everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Friends may visit one hour prior. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Biloxi National Cemetery.
