Robert Leon Meleady

Robert Leon Meleady, 93, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at his home.

Mr. Meleady was born to James and Cloe Meleady in Morgan Town, WV on October 17, 1933.

Mr. Meleady was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant and served in the U.S. Navy with VP-56. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding and served as a volunteer at the Keesler Pharmacy for 15 years. Mr. Meleady enjoyed music, square dancing, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Nancy Meleady; his parents; his children, Karen Fortner and Jeffrey Meleady; and all of his siblings.

Mr. Meleady’s survivors include his son, Robbie Meleady; his grandchildren, Chad (Jillian) Meleady, James (Lindsey) Armstrong, Jacob (Bailey) Meleady and Kristina (Derek) Goff; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 10:00 am.
