Robert Taylor “Bob” Wilson, 95, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 in Ocean Springs.

Mr. Wilson was born on August 13, 1930 in Northumberland County, PA to Harry G. and Marie E. Wilson. He was a graduate of Clarinda High School and Iowa Western Community College in Clarinda, IA. Lieutenant Wilson served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War and was awarded with 3 Bronze Stars. He served in the U. S. Navy for 21 years as an ASW Officer and instructor. He continued his career as an engineer with Ingalls Shipbuilding, retiring after 20 years. Mr. Wilson then served as a tour guide at Beauvoir for 15 years. He enjoyed woodworking, model trains and collecting antique cap guns.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Ruth E. Wilson; his parents; and his daughter, Kathy J. Wilson.

Mr. Wilson’s survivors include his son, Terry (Michele) Wilson; his daughter, Valerie Wilson; and his pet, Boots and several other beloved cats.

A Graveside Service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made in Mr. Wilson’s memory to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, the Humane Society of South Mississippi or the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Mr. Wilson’s caregiver, Gayle Young Orfield.
