Robin Spivey Schenk

Robin Spivey Schenk, 61, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, went home to the Lord on Monday August 24, 2026 following a courageous bout with cancer. Born in New Orleans, Robin grew up on the Gulf Coast. Along with her loving husband Ron she raised their children Caitlin and Zachary in Buffalo, NY which was home to the Schenks for 34 years.

Robin was a graduate of D’Iberville High School, the University of Southern Mississippi, and earned her Master’s degree from St. Bonaventure University. A longtime dietetics educator, Robin was the owner of Lagniappe Health and Wellness through which she operated a Dietetic Internship program.

In addition to being a devoted wife, and adored mother to Cait and Zach, she was a beloved sister to Lisa and Mary and cherished sister-in law to Jeff Soder, and Michael, Robert, Thomas and Amy Schenk. A dear Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, Robin is preceded in death by her parents, Jacqueline and Samuel Spivey and her in-laws Ron Sr. and Joyce Schenk.

Robin was an avid gardener, an expert cook, and a dear friend. Robin loved to entertain and made her homes in Buffalo and Ocean Springs welcoming and inviting to many. All who were fortunate to know her treasured her sincere kindness, passion, and sense of humor.

A funeral Mass in honor of Robin’s life and faith will be held September 18, 2026 at 2 pm at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 502 Jackson Ave, Ocean Springs, MS. Family visitation will be held from 12:30-1 pm, with friend visitation from 1-2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lord is My Help Food Pantry, 1205 DeSoto St, Ocean Springs, MS. An additional celebration of Robin’s life will be held in Buffalo, NY on a date to be announced.
