Roger Edward Graham passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on June 1, 1962, Roger was the son of Mable Graham and the late Grady Graham, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dawn Graham; his son, Charlie Graham; his step-children, Alaina Becnel, Hans Galle, and Sean Galle; and his cherished step-grandson, Rhett Thomas Vinet.
Roger grew up in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, where his lifelong love of the outdoors first took root. A proud graduate of Sequoyah High School in Madisonville, Tennessee, he went on to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America—an honor that reflected his character, leadership, and steadfast spirit. He later earned his Bachelor of Science with Honors, in Tourism, Food, and Lodging Administration from the University of Tennessee, carrying with him a deep and joyful loyalty to all things Tennessee Orange.
Roger built a distinguished and far-reaching career in the hospitality industry, beginning with Holiday Inn Hotels while still in College. His career with Holiday Inn spanned over 25 years. Next came Marriott, Hilton Hotels, and then Choice Hotels. His work took him across the country and beyond, from Key West, Florida, Nashville, Tennessee; New York; Columbia, South Carolina; Jackson, Mississippi; and Toronto, Canada. He later continued his career in Central Texas and Southern Mississippi, with the same professionalism and passion he was known for throughout his life.
After the challenges brought by COVID-19, Roger expanded his impact in the industry by lending his expertise to properties in Kansas City, Kansas; Logan, Utah; Bozeman, Montana; and Laramie, Wyoming. His dedication, work ethic, and ability to connect with people made him a respected figure in every place he served.
Roger’s life was defined by integrity, kindness, and a genuine love for the people around him. He touched countless lives through his work, friendships, and unwavering commitment to his family. His loss will be deeply felt, but his memory will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Boeuf Prairie Methodist Church, 4590 Highway 135, Fort Necessity, Louisiana 71295, where friends and family may visit one-hour prior to service. A graveside service will follow.
