Roger Lee Long

Roger Lee Long, 76, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Gulfport.

Mr. Long was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Long, of Mississippi.  He served 22 years in the US Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sargent and was a proud veteran serving 3 tours in Vietnam.  He received the purple heart, bronze star, medal of valor and silver star among others.  He loved gardening, fishing and long bike rides on his Harley.  The Kansas City Chiefs was his team, win or lose.  He also enjoyed collecting model cars and visiting with friends.

He will be missed deeply by friends Shirley Saxon and Christine Seagroves and her 3 grandkids who loved visiting him at the nursing home.  May he rest in peace in God's love and care.

There will be a graveside service with military honors on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
