Ronald Wayne Schnoor, 72, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 25, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Ron was a respected executive in the maritime industry. He held people to the highest standard and expected excellence. He was direct, disciplined, and believed in doing things the right way.
He was a devoted husband, father, and family man. Ronald shared over 50 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Deborah, a partnership built on loyalty, strength, and commitment.
He was a proud father to his two sons, Ryan and Zach, whom he loved deeply. Through his example, he instilled in them the values of hard work, accountability, and perseverance. Lessons that shaped them into the men they are today as they lead families of their own.
Though Alzheimer’s gradually took pieces of him in recent years, it never erased the legacy he built or the impact he had on those around him. His family finds peace in knowing he is now at rest.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and June Schnoor, and Leona Powell Schnoor.
He is survived by his sons, Ryan (Wendy) Schnoor, and Zach (Ali) Schnoor; and his beloved grandchildren, Jack Thomas Schnoor, Luke Schnoor, Wyatt Schnoor, Mary Ryan Schnoor, and Samuel Schnoor.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing" 2 Timothy 4: 7-8
