Roy Joseph Thibodeaux, Jr., age 76, was called home on April 23, 2026.

 He was a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and attended Biloxi High School. Roy was a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. He was a proud and loyal fan of D’Iberville Warriors, LSU, and the New Orleans Saints, who rarely missed a game and cheered them on through every victory and defeat. He was a member of the French Club – Fleur De Lis Society. Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Division and was a Vietnam War veteran. Following his military service, he worked with the Biloxi Police Department and later retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He will be remembered for his deep dedication to his family and friends, as well as the love, laughter, and warmth he brought to everyone around him. 

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at Ochsner Hospital for their compassionate care and support.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy Thibodeaux, Sr. and Dorothy Fayard Thibodeaux; his sisters, Denise Thibodeaux, Connie Thibodeaux Bennett, and Deborah Thibodeaux Fayard; Maternal grandparents, Leon and Irene Lamey Fayard; Paternal grandparents, Felician and Eunice Bonin Thibodeaux. 

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Batton Thibodeaux; his daughter, Heather Bobinger (Kurt); his stepdaughters, Alexandria Batton Smith (Alan) and Sarah Katherine Craig; his granddaughters, Hayley Bobinger and Rylee Bobinger; his step granddaughters, Rachel Smith and Gwen Smith; his siblings, Diana Winland (Bobby), Pamela Hollis (Jimmy), Sandra Caillavet (Rocky), and Leon Thibodeaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, where friends can visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to fellowship at the French Club – Fleur De Lis Society following the burial.
