Ruth M. Harris

Ruth M. Harris, 79, died May 18, 2016. A native of Louisiana, she was a resident of Jackson County since 1957. Ruth was formally employed at McDonald’s Restaurant in Gautier, Donut Hole in Pascagoula and Pittis Oyster Shop. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Harris; and her parents, Barton Gibson and Nettie Head Gibson. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Donnette Mullins and Sharon Naomi Gieger; and 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Billy, Jamie, Madeline, Tony, Austin and Elizabeth. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa.
