Ruth Virginia Jackson

Ruth Virginia Jackson, age 70 of Saucier, MS passed away Sunday, February 21. She was born in Rutledge, AL and a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over fifty years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irby Braxton Rodgers and Lizzie Merl Crittendon ; husband, Louis Wayne Jackson; son, David Wayne Jackson and his first wife Robin Crose; infant grandson, Michael Dwayne Jackson. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Pamela Ulrich (Jeff); son, Michael Dwayne Jackson (Wendy); daughter-in-law, Ginger; brother, Bennett Robbins (Susan); grandchildren Brittney, Bethney , Madison, Bryant, Myleigh , Jaci; and great-grandchildren Carolyne and Abigayle; nieces and nephews. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Ruth was a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church. Known to many as Nanna Ruth, she was a very loving caregiver not only to her grandchildren but to the many children who stayed at her daycare. Ruth loved watching her grandchildren and was an avid supporter of their many activities. The family would like to express their appreciation to Kare-In-Home for the care they provided to their mom. The visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel where friends may visit one hour before the service.
