Ruth Elva Wilson

Ruth E. Wilson, age 92, of Biloxi passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Ruth was born on January 4, 1930 in Villisca, Iowa to Ernest and Mae Lewis.  She attended Villisca High School and Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. She was a teacher who loved teaching young minds, a gift shop manager (and volunteer), gift shop bookkeeper, and involved with the Ocean Springs Hospital Auxiliary for 35 years. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Mae Lewis; daughter, Kathy Wilson; sister, Grace TenEyck; and brother, Harold Lewis.

Left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of many wonderful years, Robert T. Wilson; son, Terry L. (Michele) Wilson; daughter, Valerie K. Wilson; and several beloved cats.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver Gayle Young Orfield and to Hospice of Light. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter, Humane Society of South MS or The American Cancer Society.

Graveside service will be at Biloxi National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 15 at 11:00 am. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ruth E. Wilson.
