Sabrina Renee Allen, age 58, of Gulfport, MS passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Sabrina was born on May 28, 1967, in Biloxi, MS at Howard Memorial Hospital. She was the youngest child of three daughters born during the marriage of her parents, James (Jim) C. Turner Jr. and Charlotte DeLapp Lindsay. Sadly, her parents’ marriage ended in divorce when she was just a baby, and she was raised by our loving and devoted mother. In time, our mother remarried and gave birth to one more child, her only son, when Sabrina was 16 years old.
Our daddy also remarried to our stepmother, Denise Turner. They also had one child, the only son of our daddy. They are still happily married to this day and have three grandchildren.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Allen, in 2019 after 20 years of marriage. She lived the remainder of her life missing him deeply. In this time, following her husband’s death, her health problems that she had suffered with almost all of her adult life became increasingly worse. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure on top of Crohn’s disease, which she was diagnosed with in her twenties.
Sabrina was never able to have children of her own, but she dearly loved and cared for all children, including a very special nephew, Michael Lindsay Jr., who was more like a grandson to her and her husband. He held a very special place in her heart since the day he was born. She also loved her animals. They were her babies.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her mother, who passed just 8 months ago, and her husband, John, and her grandparents the DeLapp’s, and the Davis’s and by her great-grandparents, the Duggan’s, and also cousins and good friends.
She is survived by her daddy, and stepmother, Denise, her two sisters, Claire Coleman and her husband Bobby, and Dianna Turner. Also surviving her are her two loving brothers, Michael Lindsay Sr. and his wife, Magan who were always there for Sabrina, and by her other brother Jamie Turner and his wife, Tanya. Also, three nieces, Dana Rasmussen, Ashley Mattina, and her daddy Nick Mattina, and Piper Turner, and her three nephews, Michael Lindsay, Jr., and Carson and Jackson Turner. Sabrina is also survived by her godmother, Vicki Miller, and great aunt, Melonie Raymond and many cousins and friends that she dearly loved. Last, but definitely not least, her baby… her sweet little dog, Sophie who was her constant companion, protector, and the light of her life and her reason for living. Towards the end of Sabrina’s life, Sophie did her very best to take care of her and protect her. Sophie grieves her loss now.
Special thanks to everyone who has loved our sister, and cared for her, and showed her kindness. We love and appreciate each and every one of you. She loved you all.
We would also like to give special thanks to her pallbearers, Bobby Coleman, Nick Mattina, Paul Davis, Frankie Broussard, Carlo Duggan, and Michael Lindsay, Jr., and honorary pallbearer, Michael Lindsay, Sr.
Thank you to the staff of Bradford-O’Keefe for your kindness and compassion.
