Sadie P. Grimes

Sadie P. Grimes, 44, of Vancleave passed away peacefully Monday, November 26, 2012 in her sleep at her home after a defiant 15 year struggle with R.S.D. Mrs. Grimes was born on May 27, 1968 in South Hampton Long Island, New York to William and Patricia Brickerd. Sadie was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast most of her life. She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ocean Springs. After high school she began working in restaurants and started a family. Sadie met Patrick in 1988, they were never formally married but, happily raised three children together for 23 years. Sadie is survived by her spouse, Patrick Brossett Sr.; her daughter, Rachael Grimes-Johnson and two sons, Michael Grimes and Patrick Brossett, Jr.; her parents, William Brickerd and Patricia M. Ryan Brickerd; her two brothers, Walter Z. Fendleym and Thomas J. Bright; her three sisters, Patricia E. Netherton, Constance L. Jordan and Rosamond M Smith; her grandchildren, Landon Patrick Brossett, Ethan Michael Grimes, Amber Nichole McLallen and Hayden Allan Johnson. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Howard Aveune Chapel of Bradford OKeefe Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Patrick Brossett, 13713 Schoolland Road, Vancleave, MS 39565.
