Samuel J. "Sammy" Elliott

Samuel J. “Sammy” Elliott, age 62, of Biloxi, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. Sammy was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and proudly served 41 years with the Biloxi Fire Department. He loved bowling and playing cards with his family and firefighter brothers, but his greatest joy was his family. Sammy especially enjoyed watching his grandsons participating in their sporting activities. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Yvonne Elliott; and brothers, Larry Boney and Wayne Elliott. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Martha Elliott; sons, David (Meghan) Elliott and Michael (Mary) Foster; step-daughters, Debbie Moorhead and Sue (Robert) DeGan; brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Elliott, Keith Elliott, Danny (Georgia) Elliott, Kevin (Connie) Elliott and Darrell (Susan) Elliott; 9 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Wally Miller. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Biloxi Fireman’s Museum, 1046 Howard Avenue, Biloxi, MS 39530 or may be dropped off at any Biloxi Fire Station. Service will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to visit two hours prior.
