Sandra “Sandy” Romero Wells, 63, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the Mobile Infirmary following surgery.
Mrs. Wells was a native of Orange, Texas and had lived much of her life in Biloxi and Ocean Springs. She was a 1967 graduate of Biloxi High School. Sandy was a born salesman. She sold real estate ads for the Opelousas, LA Carencro Newspaper and was a consultant for Color Me Beautiful. She was a member of King’s Daughters and was active in Carnival, serving as Queen of Athena, as well as being a member of Hera, Merry Makers and Billikins. Sandy was a beautiful, outgoing and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father, Sam Romero; her mother, Gloria Viator Halat; and her stepfather, Mike Halat.
Survivors include her loving husband, Earl “Buddy” Wells; her brother, Ricky Romero; her sister-in-law, Joni Wells; her nephews, Joey and Christopher Romero; and her Yorkie babies, Gabby and Beau. She leaves also to cherish her memory, many family and friends, as well as the Lemon-Wesson family who adopted Aunt Sandy and Uncle Buddy; and Amanda Layton, who loved Miss Sandy dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. where friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi City Cemetery.
