Sandra Murphy Steele

Sandra Murphy Steele, beloved mother, daughter, and sister passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday December 20th, 2017 at the age of 71. She was a well loved member of Grace Baptist Church of Saucier. She had extensive hobbies and passions. She was an avid lover of all animals including her dogs and a pet pot bellied pig of 17 years. She also enjoyed working around her home and planting in the gardens. She found joy in her home which was a beautiful river front property secluded in Perkinston, MS. She was also a successful business owner for many years, putting her son through college before retiring. The family is deeply grateful for the love and support to all that have reached out. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sadie J. Morris of Saucier; her sister, Eileen M. Shannon of Macon, GA; her brothers, A. Jay Morris and Jack H. Morris, II of Saucier; Channing’s father, David Wess Steele; her nephew, Ryan Christopherson of Lyman, and niece Pam Shannon of Macon, GA. She is survived by her son, Channing Steele of Atlanta, GA; her father, Jack H. Morris of Saucier; her brother, Donovan T. Murphy (Ann) of Bonifay, FL; her sisters, Jan M. Patton (Hunter) of Lyman, MS and Jackie N. Morris of Saucier, MS; and nephews, Brantley Copeland of Saucier, MS and Donovan J. Murphy (Elizabeth)of Bonifay, FL. The funeral service will be Thursday December 28, 2017 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport at 1:00 pm where friends may visit one hour before service time.
