William “Scott” Tatham was born in Mobile, Alabama, on March 27, 1962, to Jim and Iris Tatham. A family man and friend to the community of Biloxi, Scott was called home on August 18, 2026.
Scott lived a life defined by dedication and hard work. He graduated from George County High School, Class of 1980 and began his career working in offshore drilling for Eagle Offshore from 1980 to 1983. He then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for ten years, from 1983 to 1993. Following his military service, Scott enjoyed a 24-year career with the United States Postal Service (1995–2018) until his well-deserved retirement. Never one to stay idle for long, he later worked for The Peoples Bank from 2019 to 2025. A true jokester with an infectious sense of humor, Scott was always making people laugh and brought a good time wherever he went. He thoroughly enjoyed the river life with his best friends, watching NASCAR races, working on classic cars, and tackling a variety of projects in his yard. He was a brother, uncle, and friend to all, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Williston (Jim) and Iris Tatham; his brother, Larry Tatham, and sister-in-law, Cynthia (Cindy) Tatham; his niece and nephew, Linley Tatham and Lonnie Tatham.
Scott’s survivors include the family of his late brother, Larry Tatham (wife Cynthia "Cindy"), includes nephew Anthony Tatham (wife Christy and children Mason and Maddox) and nephew Eric Tatham (wife Ashley and daughter Cynthia Claire "Cici"). His sister, Robin Roberts (husband Bobby), along with her sons, Sean McLellan, Bobby, and Cole, and grandchildren, Briley, Lillian, and Lakin. His sister, Pat Malone (husband Kenneth), along with her children, Jimmy and Jennifer, grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, and Kingston, and great-grandson, Axle. His brother, Ron Tatham (wife Maureen "Maui"), along with his children and grandchildren: Felicia Chambers (children Peyton, Tristan, and Megan Nott); Betsy Watson (husband Kyle and daughter Oakleigh); and Bradley Tatham (wife Tabitha and children Reuben, Rachel, Johannah, Michael, and David).
