Shirley Elizabeth Dawkins

Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Dawkins, age 82, of Mobile, AL., died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Dawkins was born on April 30, 1928, in Phenix City, AL. She was a loving faithful wife and a giving mother who always had a kind word and a beautiful smile. Mrs. Dawkins was an elegant lady with a generous spirit. Daughters of the Nile was an organization that she loved. "Bobby Lee" was her life and Ocean Springs was the town they both loved. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Bobby Lee Dawkins. Survivors include a beloved daughter, Kay Dawkins Carvin and son-in-law Joseph Raymond Carvin, Jr. both of Mobile, AL., brother, M. Don Evans of Phenix City, AL., two nephews and two nieces. On Thursday, February 3, 2011, there will be a 1 pm graveside service in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Ocean Springs. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
