Shirley Ann Huggins

Shirley Ann Huggins “Miss Ann”, age 85, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at home with her family.

Ann was born on October 4, 1940, in Paris, AK. She completed third grade prior to being pulled out of school to work on the farm and help raise her siblings. Ann taught herself to read, write, and do math. She enjoyed reading romance novels. She also loved going to the casinos before dementia took over.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Lily Burton; son-in-law, Timothy Dannheim; and siblings, Bob, Marie, Jim, Doris, Bill, Tom, and Kay.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Huggins, Diann Dannheim, and Norman Huggins; grandchildren, Jennifer Wilkinson (Chris), Samantha Huggins, Rene Middleton, Michael Thomas, and Bobby Thomas; great-grandchildren, Tristen Wilkinson, Scarlett Wilkinson, Bryce Dunn, Brittney Williams, Madison Fairley, Logan Middleton, Dylan Dannheim, Payton Middleton, Sophia Thomas, Ethan Thomas, Zoey Thomas, Cooper Thomas; 2 other great-granddaughters, Grace Thomas and Olivia Thomas; and 8 great-great grandchildren; and her dogs, Terra and Ollie.
