Shirley Garrett Lyon

Mrs. Shirley Ann Garrett Lyon, age 78, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. Mrs. Lyon was born on September 24, 1939, in Harrisville, MS. She retired from Calvary Baptist Church Daycare. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Cora Garrett, granddaughter, Ashley Moran and siblings, Louie Garrett, Linnie Pierce, Aaron Garrett, Evelyn McLendon, Johnny Garrett and Kathryn Garrett. Survivors include her husband, Dale Lyon, children, Connie (Steve) Van Alstine and Steve (Connie)Lyon, grandchildren, Amber Moran, Jason (Jisook) Moran, Lauren Moran, Josh (Magan) Lyon and Kelsey (John) Hanley, great-grandchild, Jonathan Lyon and siblings, Eugene Garrett, Peggy Barlow, Arlon Garrett, Agnes Tadlock and Bill Garrett. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 1, from 11am until 12 noon, with a 12 noon chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
