Shirley Moreton Parker, 83, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away in her home on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Shirley was born in Miami, Florida on November 24, 1941 to Alfred and Mamie Moreton. She worked for the Harrison County Child Development Center for 27 years. Shirley liked to browse thrift stores, flea markets and antique stores. Mexican food and margaritas were always a great time for her. She loved the beach and she loved all of her “grand dogs.” But she loved her family the most and she showed it every day. Heaven has gained another angel and we will all miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mamie Moreton; sister, Charlene Moreton; brother and sister-in-law, Alfred "Buddy" and Becky Moreton; brothers in law Noah Smith and JL Saucier; and niece, Robin Moreton.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Christie (Michael); grandchildren, Kaegan Cook (Leslie), Gavin Torjusen, Brandon Christie (Maggie), Dylan Christie and Ian Capers; great-grandchildren, Camila Bahema, Aaron Bahema, Ileanna Cook and Krue Christie; sister, Catherine Smith Saucier; brother, Julian "Bubby" Moreton (Helen); five nieces, Stacey Williams (Brian), Lydia Moreton, Jilian Blankenship (Brady), Mary Moreton and Bethany Moreton; and nephews, Alfred Smith (Terry) and Elliot Moreton (Jen).
