SrA Jonathan David Saunders

SrA Jonathan David Saunders, age 23, of Newport News, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Jonathan was born on August 7, 2002, in Fort Lewis, Washington. A proud member of the United States Air Force, he enlisted in 2021 and served with dedication as an active-duty airman until his passing. His service was a reflection of his commitment and love for his country.

Jonathan had an immense passion for sports, with a deep love for the Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Phoenix Suns. His enthusiasm for his teams brought him great joy.

Jonathan is preceded in death by his father, Kevin David Saunders Jr. He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Morgan, and his sister, Alysa Jackson. He is also cherished and remembered by countless friends and extended family.

A service to honor Jonathan’s life will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, MS, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow to the Biloxi National Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the 71st Fighter Generation Squadron for their assistance and support during this difficult time.

Jonathan will be deeply missed and forever loved.
