Stanton Gibson

Stanton “Gibby” Grimes Gibson, 79, of Biloxi, MS, passed away at home in Biloxi, MS on September 30th, 2026.

Stan was born in Hattiesburg, MS on February 10, 1947, to Perry and Bobbye Gibson. Stan worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding for 44 years and was an electrician manager. Gibby was a social butterfly! He always wanted to go, go, go! He enjoyed meeting up with old high school friends and loved being part of his Sunday school class New Beginnings. He loved going to war and aviation museums and especially loved when Cruisin the Coast came around every year. More than anything he enjoyed being with family, friends and his beloved wife Linda.

He is predeceased by his parents, Perry Gibson (father) Bobbye Gibson (mother)

Stan is survived by his loving wife, Linda Gibson; children, Michele (Vince) Howard and Stan (Cynthia) Gibson Jr.; stepchildren, Maria (David) Cox-Dwyer and Laura (Chris) Wickizer; grandchildren, Mandi (Brad) Rigby, Kendall (Chad) Carlson, Anniston Gibson-Pate, Ethan Howard, and Dalton Gibson; step-grandchildren, Clay Dwyer and Shelby Dwyer; sisters, Angela Gibson, Paige Balan, Leisa Blackwell; and great-grandchildren, Shep, Kip and Fitz.

Celebration of life will be held at Parkway Baptist Church in Biloxi, MS on October 12th. Visitation will be at 10 am with service starting at 11 am.
