Stevie Boston Smith, Sr., 83, of Gulfport, MS died Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.
He was born on October 18, 1942, in Gulfport to James Smith and Charlie Mae Brown. Stevie attended North Gulfport School and received a high school education and worked as a longshoreman and with the Harrison County Sheriff's Department. He spent four years in the US Army and retired as material handler with Sterling Drugs. Stevie’s hobbies were playing billiards and watching classic movies and westerns. He loved people, especially family get togethers.
Stevie is preceded in death by his parents and his spouse Ann Marie Johnson Smith, his siblings, Harvey Smith, Michael Smith, James Smith, Charles S. Smith, Ralph B. Smith, Eddie L. Smith, Myrtis Smith, Helen Smith McCord, Margaret Smith and Sharon Smith.
He is survived by his siblings; William Smith (Sherrie), Donald Smith (Dorothy) and Mitchell Smith; his children, Stevie B. Smith, Jr. (Kyla), Charlotte Reaves, Allan K. Johnson (Yolanda), Lela Norris, Mia Jacobs (Charles), Dawn Eryka Johnson; loving nieces and great nieces and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and many caring friends.
Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
The family would like to thank the Gulfport Fire Department and the many nurses, aids, techs, staff and custodians of Memorial Hospital and Driftwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Care for their love and care expressed and provided.
