Sue Ellen Britt

Sue Ellen Britt, age 79, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, in Gulfport. Mrs. Britt was born in Central, SC and had been a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a member of Cedar Lake Christian Assembly for 47 years and devoted her life to her family, raising four generations. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, making arts and crafts, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, David Allan Britt; her parents, Virgle and Margaret Sexton Elrod, and a brother, Benny Elrod. Survivors include two daughters, Annette (Kevin) Chandler and Lynn Sala; grandchildren, Stephanie (Alan) Hogue, Allan (Mari) Chandler, Kristine Sala, Jared (Mallory) Chandler, Nathan Chandler and Kaitlin Chandler; and great-grandchildren, Haley Moore, Alan Hogue, Bryson Mahone, Noah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Kajun Hogue, Riley Holmes and Benny Hogue. She is also survived by her siblings, Gail Moore, Johnny Elrod, Shirley Elrod, Danny Elrod and David Elrod who live in South Carolina. Visitation is Monday, January 28, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home chapel where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
