Susan Elizabeth Welton Ramsey, age 69, of Gulfport, MS, left this world too soon on December 5th, 2025.
Susan was born in Salina, KS to Chester and Marjorie Welton. She devoted 18 years of service to the Dairy Queen in Gulfport before retiring. She was often referred to as the “Dairy Queen Lady.” She was an amazing soul and loved her family with every ounce of her being.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie; father, Chester; and brother, Delbert Welton.
She is survived by her loving husband, James “Tim” Ramsey; children, Delbert Kluth and Miranda Pustay; her pride and joy, granddaughter, Grace Mate; three Stepchildren, Timothy Ramsey (Darlene), Christopher Ramsey (Raaid), Mary Evans-Williams (Jennifer); their children, who lovingly called her “Banana”, Michelle Dockery, Julie Burton (Will), Kayla Ramsey, and Katie Evans; one great-granddaughter, Annalise Burton and another great-grand on the way; sisters, Marsha Merriman, Pam Marino, Paula Wilson, and Christie Burnham; many nieces and nephews; two cats, Pink and Blue; and one best friend, Gary Mitchell. All left with a lifetime of stories, laughs, and bodacious dance moves.
Susan was unapologetically herself and a true Saints fan, win or lose! She couldn’t say no to a Reese’s or a Diet Coke. Susan loved hard and unconditionally, and she never missed an opportunity to tell her loved ones. She will be missed immensely. Fly high and paint the sky!
