Susan C. Sekul

Susan C. Balius Sekul, age 76, of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026.

She was born in Biloxi to Eulalie Boney Balius and Leon P. Balius, Sr. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School where she graduated in 1967. She married her husband, Morris G. Sekul, in 1971 and celebrated 54 years together. Susan was employed for over 30 years at The Peoples Bank in their Central Files Department. She retired in 2011 and enjoyed spending time with her family. When she wasn’t with her family, she always had a book in her hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulalie Boney Balius and Leon P. Balius, Sr.; her brother, Leon P. Balius, Jr.; her niece, Tracie Balius Tate; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from the Balius and Boney families.

Susan is survived by her husband, Morris G. Sekul; her daughters and sons in laws, Jennifer Sekul Harris and Bucky Harris and Marissa Sekul Jones and Sam Jones; her grandchildren, Nicholas A. Harris and Kadie N. Harris; her brother, Chester J. Balius, II; her sister in law, Charlotte Balius; her nieces, Candace Balius and Toni Balius; her nephew, Chester J. Balius III; and numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
