Tatae "Deety" May

Mrs. Tatae “Deety” May, 86, of D’Iberville, MS passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 in D’Iberville. Deety was a native of Japan and a resident of D’Iberville since 1972. She was the founding member of Matsu No Kai social club for Japanese ladies living on the Mississippi Coast. Deety was an avid bingo player and a casino patron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby May; her parents, Ryohei and Aiko Date; and her sister, Tsukai Goodwin. Deety’s survivors include her children, Judy May and Gary May; her sister, Megumi Dya; and her brothers, Shinji Date and Shiro Date. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2017 with a 10:00 am funeral service on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 all at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Macpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.
