Terry James

Terry James, age 74 passed away on July 30, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Geneva James, and his sister, Sandra G. Webb. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pricilla (Gale) James of Diamondhead, sons Alan K. James (Simone) of Brazil and Barry H. James of Diamondhead, granddaughter Natasha James (Tommy Shaw) of Perkinston, great-grandchildren Haley Paige James, Mason Alan James and Tyler D. Shaw. He is also survived by his sister Janelle Abbott of Gulfport and his brother Melvyn James (Arnett) of Weatherford, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was a Christian man who served faithfully with his church family at Grace Chapel, Pass Christian, MS for many years. He traveled extensively while in the Navy, enjoyed many family vacations, and loved fishing and golfing with Alan, Barry and his friend Dub Walker. Terry joyously spent time with his granddaughter, Natasha and his great-grandchildren, Haley and Mason. Haley riding horses and Mason in youth soccer and football were fond memories for Terry. His sons, Alan and Barry were a great joy to Terry his entire life. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to Grace Chapel in memory of Terry or charity of your choice. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Grace Chapel Church, 9208 Edwin Ladner Rd, Pass Christian, MS from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:30 p.m. A graveside service with full military honors will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
