Thomas Walter Ehmke, Sr.

Thomas W. Ehmke Sr. (nickname Tom, Papa Tom), age 68, from Gulfport MS passed away in Iowa on May 9,2022. He was born March 20,1954 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin to parents Donald & Margaret Ehmke. He graduated from Wausau High School WI. He joined the U.S. Navy and served 21 years, receiving honors and medals and retired as Chief of Navy. His hobbies included baseball, volleyball, bowling, photography, and gardening which was his favorite in later years. His siblings are Jerry Ehmke, Nancy Lewis, and Barb Gesicki.  He is survived by his wife, Dulie Ehmke; sons, Thomas “Tommy” Ehmke, Jr., Andrew “Andy” Ehmke; step-daughters, Christina Mitchell and Cerina Gibson; and step-son, Bobby Champagne.

The funeral service is Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15^th Street, Gulfport with the visitation beginning at 12 noon.
