Timothy Dale Gilmore

Timothy Gilmore, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Born on September 24, 1964, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, Timothy was the cherished son of Charles F. Gilmore and Virginia L. Gilmore. He grew up with four siblings: Sandy Rybacki, Debra Moore, Eileen Gilmore Bolls, and Robert Gilmore.

Timothy proudly served his country in the United States Navy for nine years, a time that allowed him to travel the world. From the Philippines to Spain, Hawaii, and even the pyramids of Egypt, his Navy years gave him experiences he treasured throughout his life. After his service, Timothy pursued higher education at Broome Community College in Syracuse, New York, and later at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York, where he studied engineering.

A man of great intelligence and creativity, Timothy loved building, inventing, and improving the world around him. Whether taking things apart to make them better or constructing his own Tesla coil at home, he was always curious and clever. His passion and determination led him to a meaningful career with Northrop Grumman, a company he was proud to serve for many years. His work and dedication moved his family to several states, but his pride in his craft and accomplishments never wavered.

Above all, Timothy loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Gilmore; his children, Philip Gilmore and Claudia Vazquez-Berry; and his grandchildren, Serenity Vazquez-Berry, Camilla Vazquez-Berry, Olivia Gilmore, and Grayson Anderson/Gilmore. His love for them was endless, and his legacy of curiosity, intelligence, and devotion will continue to live on through them.

Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. The family will gather afterward for a private dinner at Timothy’s favorite restaurant, Jalapeño Grill.
