Timothy William Koerner

Timothy William Koerner passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at his home of thirty-nine years in Pass Christian, Mississippi.

His parents, Louis R Koerner and Margaret Elaine John of New Orleans predeceased him.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Ann Benham Koerner; siblings, Louis and Francesca Koerner; his adopted sons, Charles Randolph Holt Fisher and John Benham Fisher; a son and daughter by a prior marriage, John Parker Koerner and Cara Elizabeth Melton; grandchildren, Coltrane and Huxley Fisher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in New Orleans January 13, 1945, Tim spent summers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast fishing, swimming, water-skiing, and sailing and made Pass Christian his permanent home in 1987. He remained an avid sailor and fisherman. He attended Holy Name, Jesuit, and Tulane University in New Orleans and Riverside Military Academy in Georgia. He was a reservist in the U.S. Marine Corp.

He is co-owner with his cousin and niece of the food distributor, John Koerner Company of New Orleans, where he created a specialty business of imported foods and culinary methods utilized by chefs nationwide. He contributed to many local and national charitable organizations, particularly those supporting animal welfare, military veterans, American Indians, and the arts.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
