Versie May Smith

Mrs. Versie Malley Smith, 83, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012, in Biloxi. She was born in Poplarville, MS and remained a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. She enjoyed going to Treasure Bay Casino and considered the employees her extended family. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Verna Pearson; son, William "Billy" Spiers; and former husband, Royce Malley. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Ray Smith of Biloxi; sisters, Mary Nell Rouse of Picayune, and Jerry Buchanan of Gulfport; brother, Cary McCarley of Biloxi; and beloved pets, Suzette and Hannah. Private services will be held at a later date. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pass Road, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
