Vicki Faye Edwards Lumpkin

Vicki Faye Edwards Lumpkin, aka “Sukie Jane” aka “Butter Bean”, 65, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in Ocean Springs.

Vicki was born on August 13, 1957 in Memphis, TN to Eddie and Wilma Staggs Edwards. She graduated from high school in Jackson, MS and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Vicki worked as a paralegal for most of her professional career and then she ventured into medical sales before becoming a full-time, stay-at-home mom and wife, the title she wore most proudly. She was a proud and supportive mother, a doting grandmother and an exceptional cook. Her jumbo lump crab cakes were a crowd fave along with her West Indies Salad that inspired a song about it being so delicious it could be eaten out of a dirty shoe. Vicki loved to entertain and show-off her singular dance move. She was fiercely loyal and a protector of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilma “Nana” and Eddie Edwards.

Vicki’s survivors include her ex-husband, Mark Lumpkin, of whom she maintained a close and supportive friendship; her children, Jed Lumpkin and Allison Lumpkin; her granddaughters, Eden Lumpkin and Tallulah Boone; her grandson, Christian Boone, III; and her kitty cat, Parker.

The family Wishes to extend a special thank you to all of Vicki’s friends and family for the outpouring of love and support.

A celebration of Vicki’s life for her family and friends will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Porter Avenue in Ocean Springs on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A reception will follow at Eat, Drink, Love Catering, 701 Bienville Boulevard, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
