Vincent Laurie

Vincent Joseph Laurie Sr., age 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:31 PM, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the late Henrietta and Salvadore Laurie.

Vincent spent his career as a dedicated professional, eventually retiring from Briggs Equipment after years of hard work. Outside of his career, he was a passionate and active participant in the Bonnabel Boat Launch community, where he shared his love for the water and local camaraderie.

Vincent will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a compassionate, hardworking, humorous, and thoughtful man. Above all else, he was a devoted family anchor who took immense pride in the achievements and accomplishments of his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his three loving children: Melissa Guthrie, Susan Primeaux (Scott), and Vincent Laurie Jr. (Becki); his four cherished grandchildren: Tobias Birch, Maddie Laurie, Kayla Primeaux (Alex), and Mia Laurie (Esteban); and his three siblings: Claude Morales (Jennifer), Edwin Tobin (Joan), and Georgeann Benitez (Joe).

Vincent was reunited in peace with his beloved wife of 42 years, Irma Laurie; his parents, Henrietta and Salvadore Laurie; his brothers, Tim Tobin (Rose), Salvadore Laurie (Gladys), Charles Laurie (Carol), and Henry Tobin; and his grandson, David Maples.

A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at the Vancleave Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior.
