Vincent Joseph Tauzin, Jr. “Simple Man”, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 63 years of age. Vincent was a life-long native of Biloxi, MS. Growing up in East Biloxi “The Point”, he naturally had a passion for fishing, boating, late night floundering and enjoying the beauty of Biloxi sunsets.
Vincent was a hard-working individual. Known by many as “The Beer Man”, he dedicated over 40 years working in the beverage distribution industry, selling and distributing beverages to local establishments along the coast. He retired in May of 2022 from F.E.B. Distributing, where he worked for 16 years as an Account Manager. Prior to that, he dedicated over 24 years at F&F Distributing. Anyone who grew up with Vincent would know that he was a die-hard fan of KISS and rock music in general. Vincent was a video poker player and slot patron of Boomtown Casino, and he was a faithful New Orleans Saints fan. Vincent was known to follow many superstitions, as such, he wouldn’t pass a heads-up penny on the street without picking it up. Vincent was the type of person who did not meet a stranger - he touched the lives of many, even in his final days with the wonderful staff of Memorial Health System, Gulfport.
Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Tauzin, Sr. and Nancy Merrick Tauzin; grandparents, Laurence Duplain Tauzin and Stanley Tauzin, Dorothy Merrick Strong and Walter Strong.
Vincent is survived by his daughter, Rachel Shoemaker and her two daughters, Skyann and Brooklynn; siblings, Letitia Tauzin (Kenneth) Trochesset, Dwayne Tauzin, Noel Tauzin and Sharron Tauzin (Anthony) Johnson; Nieces and Nephews, Amber Trochesset (fiancé - Alex Barstow), Brandi Trochesset (Trevor) Kopszywa, Aleyah Madden, Arihanna Johnson, and Trenton Madden. He also leaves behind a legacy filled with many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and loved ones.
