Violet "Vi" Polmanteer

Violet “Vi” Polmanteer, 72, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Vi has been a resident of the Gulf Coast for 40 years. She was employed with Terminix as a secretary where she retired after 35 years with the company. She was an avid gardener and a proud supporter of the Gulfport Humane Society. Vi was a beloved daughter, sister and mother. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Jack Carney and two sons David Polmanteer and Steven Carney. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to The Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Ave, Gulfport, MS 39501. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
