Ginny grew up in Honolulu, HI; Kaneohe, HI and Trumann, AR. She graduated from high school in Peoria, IL and attended Arkansas State University, Jonesboro, AR. Ginny was of the Baptist faith and grew up in the Central Missionary Baptist Church, Trumann AR. She became a member as a teenager and was a devoted member until moving from Trumann.

Being a creative person, Ginny was passionate about her lifetime career in women’s fashions and had a career in retail management. She was dedicated to her positions in retail management and for various specialty shops and stores in AR, MO, MS and FL. Christmas time in the stores gave her joy and enjoyment as she brought her warmth and love to the holiday displays and decorations. In her own home, there was never a more beautiful Christmas tree, she filled it with family photos and treasures from the past.
Ginny’s favorite time was spent by the ocean. One of her favorite vacation spots was the Florida Keys. Being an esteemed admirer of Ernest Hemingway’s writing, his home was her favorite place there and visited many times and cherished his 6-toed kitties.
Ginny was a kind and compassionate person and with unsurpassed love for all animals, especially those needing rescue. Many rescue pets became her “children”. Her favorites in the past few years being Scruffy, Sally, Kenny and Lamar.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Traditions and Vital Care Hospice team for their incredible and compassionate care during Ginny’s final days. Their dedication to comfort and emotional support they provided to our family will never be forgotten, especially during the difficult time after Ginny’s health declined after a stroke she had almost 3 years ago and stroke related dementia.
For those wishing to, donations may be made to the American Stroke Association or animal rescue organizations.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
