Virginia Shelton

Virginia Shelton, 95, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Mrs. Shelton has been a resident of Ocean Springs since 1959. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family. Mrs. Shelton was known for her hospitality and everyone who visited never went away hungry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Shelton; her brothers, Howard Petrea and Bill Petrea; and her sisters, Hazel Stonecipher and Thelma Myers. Mrs. Shelton’s survivors include her sons, Richard Perry and Larry (Margie) Perry; her sister, Donna Deadmone; her grandson, Christopher Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dorothy Dees for the special care given to Mrs. Shelton. A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 25, 2016 with a 10:00 am Funeral Service on Friday, February 26, 2016 all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
