Walter "Dutch" Dutchover

Dutch Dutchover, 62, of Biloxi passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. He was a resident of Biloxi for the past 5 years. Dutch was a musician and played guitar in the band Crystal Garden in San Leandro, CA in the 60’s. His band was included in a book, East Bay ‘60’s Garage Bands, which was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. While living in California, he worked in management for many years with Anheuser-Busch and AT&T and also several years in law enforcement. After retirement, Dutch moved to Biloxi and was employed with the Biloxi School System. He enjoyed fishing and photography, but his love for music was the dominant focus in his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Dutchover. Dutch is survived by his wife, Jennifer Dutchover; daughter, Andrea; sons, Jacob and Walter; mother, Sally; sisters, Martha, Marie and Ann; brother, Wayne; step-sons, Larry and Blake; and grandchildren, Frankie, Anaya, Dante, Leila and Divina. A memorial service will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the service time.
