Wanda J. Lizana

Wanda J. Lizana, 82, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.

Mrs. Lizana was born in Biloxi, MS on January 24, 1940 to Olga Mae and Edward Lamey. She went to Biloxi High School and was previously employed with K-Mart, Ingalls, Isle of Capri Casino and Home Instead. Mrs. Lizana enjoyed reading, playing cards with family and friends, shopping and festive activities with loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory A. Lizana, Jr.; her parents, Olga Mae and Edward Lamey; and her siblings, Marie Lindsey and Jeanette McClellon.

Mrs. Lizana’s survivors include her brother, Gerald Lamey and his wife Charlotte; children, Anna Fletcher and her husband Dean, Dallas Lizana and his wife Cassandra, Teresse Lawson and her husband Joe and David Lizana and his wife Heather; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Mrs. Lizana’s memory.
