Wilda Seymour Creech

d. November 1, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Wilda Seymour Creech, who departed this life on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at home in D’Iberville. Wilda was the matriarch of our family, whose kindness, generosity, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.

Born on January 6, 1935 in D’Iberville to Eula Mae Lawrence and Lee Moses Seymour, Wilda grew up surrounded by love and encouragement. She attended Sacred Heart Academy, where she excelled academically as the top typist in her class. She declined an opportunity to work at the Pentagon, preferring to stay close to family and friends.

Throughout Wilda’s career as an administrator in Civilian Personnel Management at Keesler AFB, she was admired for her dedication, integrity, and exceptional work ethic. She also was a member of St. Vincent de Paul and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville.

Wilda is survived by the love of her life and devoted spouse of 68 years, Edward Creech; children, Mark (Ann), Scott (Cassandra), Teresa Clark, James (Rhonda), Laura (Kevin) Manuel, and Barbara Chism. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren, Chrystal, Laura (Tommy), Mickey (Jennifer), Jordan (Jessica), Jessica (Casey), Hunter, Samantha (Anthony), Alexa (James), Dakota, and Macy; 18 great grandchildren, Anniston, Jayden, Hudson, Ellie Grace, Jack, Riley, Presley, Amelia, Lily, Nicole (Michael), Blake, Zackery, Mila, Carter, Ava, Kylie, and Cooper. Wilda was devoted to her family, always putting them first and creating lasting memories. She is also survived by her sister, Eula Lee Williams and her twin, Hilda Strayham. Her parents; brother, Lee Seymour; and sister, Shirley Rose Santa Cruz preceded her in passing.

Those who knew Wilda will forever remember the joy she brought into their lives, the wisdom she shared, and the love she gave freely. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her.
