Will Edwin Dorroh Jr. “Ed”, age 88, of Austin, Texas, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, in Austin.

Ed was born on June 28, 1937, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Will Edwin Dorroh Sr. and Mattie LaVerne (Hollingsworth) Dorroh. He graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1955, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1959, and later received a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1968.

Ed proudly served in the Mississippi National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves. He spent his professional career as an aerospace engineer, working with Jet Propulsion Laboratories in California and later with Lockheed Martin in Colorado and Louisiana.

A man of faith, Ed was active in the Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, model railroading, and researching genealogy.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, Will Edwin Dorroh Sr., who passed away in December 1970; his mother, Mattie LaVerne (Hollingsworth) Dorroh, who passed away in June 1997; his wife, Zelma (McPherson) Dorroh, who passed away in October 2005; and his son, Brian Edwin Dorroh, who passed away in September 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (Scott Barford) Dorroh of Austin, Texas; his brother, James Dorroh and wife, Nancy of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; his daughter, Leigh (Dorroh) Hilliard and husband, Michael, and their daughter, Faith Hilliard of Austin, Texas; his son, Craig Dorroh and wife, Cynthia (Kok) Dorroh, and their children, Joy and Zoe Dorroh of Denver, Colorado; and his stepchildren, Janice Barford and husband, Geoff Parsons of England, and Robert Barford and wife, Julie Barford of England.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
