William “Billy” Wayne Overby passed away surrounded by his family on July 26, 2026, in Ocean Springs, MS.
Billy was born in Bay St. Louis, MS and grew up and attended school in Gulfport, MS and resided in Biloxi, MS. He retired from the Veterans Administration and retired as a CMS in the Air Force. Billy was a member of Cedar Lake Global Methodist Church. He was a member of Polar Star Lodge #154 and a member of the Mississippi Beach Cruisers.
Billy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sylvia. He is survived by his children, Paul (Freda) and Nancy Saucier; his grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Butler, Miranda (Tyler) Watson, Ashton (Morgan) Saucier-Watson and Tyler Saucier; great-granddaughter, Abigail Butler; sister-in-law, Lanette Overby; brothers-in-law, Glen Price and Stephen (Sarah) Fayard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pauline Overby; brother, Bob Overby; and sister, Carol Price.
A celebration of life service will take place at Cedar Lake Global Methodist Church on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. followed by service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Cedar Lake Global Methodist Church, 12332 Cedar Lake Road, Biloxi, MS 39532 or a charity of your choice.
