William L. "Bill" Fore

William L. ‘Bill” Fore, Jr., age 89, of Gulfport passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Fore; parents; and two sisters. Bill is survived by his loving devoted wife of 62 years, Gloria J. Fore; his daughter, Cindy Fore; son and daughter-in-law, Billy (Marianne) Fore; three grandchildren, Brianne McCauley (Jimmy), Nathan Clay and Kristen Scarfuto; three great-grandchildren, Morgan and Landon Fielder and Jaxin Clay. He loved his grandchildren dearly and always had a song and dance for them. He was a WWII Pacific veteran, serving in the Navy and Air Force until 1953. While in the service he participated in vaudeville shows to entertain the troops. After his military career he worked civil service at Keesler Air Force Base as an air traffic control training specialist until retirement in 1984. He was an avid tennis player and taught private lessons. He also worked with Gulfport High tennis teams for many years. The family would like to thank his special care giver, Carlyfe Barcial and the staff of Dixie White House. The funeral service is Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport with Air Force honors.
