William Allen “Bill” Hyatt, 85, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Gulfport.
Bill was born in Greenwood, FL on November 26, 1939, to Robert and Blondell Hyatt. He graduated from Manatee County High School and served in the US Navy. Bill was a past Exalted Ruler of BPOE 978. His hobbies were cars and fishing, and he enjoyed doing anything on the water.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth E. Hyatt, and siblings, Bobby, Mickey, Donnie and Geraldine.
Survivors include his current wife, Cynthia Lee Hyatt; four daughters, Tammy Cotton, Coral (Harold) Gosdin, Cynthia Hyatt and Dianna (Billy) Strathman; his grandchildren, Jacqueline Polk, Tarah Cotton, Joshua Cotton, Tammy Elizabeth Cotton, Aaron (Jennifer) Thomasson, Cayce (Rebecca) Gosdin, Lisa Davenport, Kevin (Lindsay) Davenport, Julia Strathman and Michael Strathman; 8 great grandchildren; and siblings, Joni, Pat (Ed) and cousin Frankie.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the O’Neal Road location of Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors by the US Navy.
