William R. LeBlanc (AKA) PawPaw passed away August 2, 2024 at the young age of 93. He was aiming for the 100 mark.
He resided in Biloxi, MS for 64 years. He traveled extensively while in the military and working with Civil Service. William was born in Morse, LA. He served in the US Military for 26 years until his retirement in 1974. He worked with Civil Service for 12 years, but retired due to health reason. He then went on to work with the Harrison County Sheriff's office until about 2008. He attended Our Lady of Fatima Church since the early 60's
William was always on the go. He loved to stay busy and travel at the drop of a hat.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mardie Theresa LeLeaux; his parents, Euzeb and Rosa LeBlanc; and his brother, Larry LeBlanc.
William is survived by his sister, Theresa Ann (Clifford) Cowart of Orangefield, TX; His son, William R LeBlanc; daughter, Theresa; and son-in-law, David Grantham of Vancleave, MS; Son, Russell (Lisa Anderson) LeBlanc of Gulfport, MS; His daughter, Marie; and son-in-law, Guy Franco of Baton Rouge, LA; Eight grandchildren, Amanda and William R LeBlanc III, of Biloxi MS, Tangie (Tim) Abercrombie of Hattiesburg, MS, Robert (Karen) Andersen of Long Beach, MS, Robin Andersen of Gulfport, MS, Raven Grantham of Norman, OK, Miranda (Walter) Masling of Baton Rouge, LAS, Lisa (Ryan) White of Baton Rouge, LA; Six great grand- children; and Five great, great grand- children; Sister-in-laws and brothers-in-law; Louise and Adam Bertrand of Vinton, LA, and Barbara and Jimmy Goins of Nacogdoches, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
God blessed him with a long full life. We are eternally grateful for the time we were given. He will truly be missed. Rest in peace Dad. Love you.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
